- The e-District project was conceptualized to improve the experience of citizens and enhance the efficiencies of the various Departments at the state/district/taluka-level to enable seamless service delivery to the citizen..
- Under this project Department has developed a portal "https://www.goaonline.gov.in/". The Implementing Agency for the project is M/s Goa Electronics Ltd.
- The Portal acts as an Integrated Single window for all citizen services including EoDB (Ease of doing business) across all department of the state.
- The Portal is integrated with e-Taal, e-Sign, e-challan Payment Gateway, PayGovIndia, Aadhaar, DigiLocker, SMS, e-Mail and RAS and also having dedicated helpdesk facility.
- The project is designed to be scalable to onboard of all G2C and G2B services.
- Total Number of 241 services of 41 Departments/Corporations are live as on July 2024.
- Proposed Initiatives of e-district :-
- Increasing the usage through wider publicity.
- Making online delivery of services mandatory.
- Approximately 7+ Lakhs users have registered on the portal and more than 28 lakhs applications have been received till July 2024.
- Making portal compliant to GIGW guidelines and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines published by World Wide Web.
